Exodus 32:17-19

¹⁷ Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, and he cried out to Moses, “There are battle sounds coming from the camp!” ¹⁸ But Moses answered, “It is not the shout of victory, nor the sound of defeat. It is the sound of singing that I hear.”

¹⁹ When they drew near the camp, he saw the calf and the dancing. Moses became very angry. He flung down the tablets, breaking them to pieces at the foot of the mountain.
